Funding for Religious Community Spaces

About the Program

The Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion supports efforts to secure spaces for religious and ideological communities in Berlin. The goal is to maintain public-interest services—such as counseling, assistance, and community programs—for members and neighborhoods. You can submit an application if you are a small religious or ideological community based in Berlin, do not receive regular government subsidies, and have been providing such services for at least 12 months. Funding is provided exclusively for the rental costs of spaces where these services take place. Duplicate funding is not permitted. In your application, you must provide proof of your lease and describe your activities. The funding helps you secure existing spaces and continue your programs in the neighborhood.

Timeframe : Application deadline April 20, 2026; project period June 1, 2026, through December 31, 2028
Grant amount : €30,000 to a maximum of €100,000.00 per project and per fiscal year
Areas : City and Neighborhood, Social Services and Welfare, Migration and Diversity

Submit your application by April 20, 2026.
