Funding for Dance and the Performing Arts 2027

About the Program

The Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion awards grants for projects in the fields of dance and the performing arts in Berlin. Funding is available for individual projects, starter projects, and one-year grants for production venues.

The individual project grant supports new initiatives as well as revivals and further developments of existing productions. To be eligible, you must have already presented at least one production in Berlin that has garnered interest from audiences and critics.

The entry-level grant is intended for those starting their careers, as well as for people who are new to the field, returning to it, or entering it via a different career path. To be eligible for this grant, you must not have previously received a project grant from the Berlin Cultural Administration.

Funding for production venues is intended for professionally operated presentation, production, or performance venues that have been in operation under the applicant’s leadership for at least two years.
