The “Strengthen Diversity!” initiative invites you to a theme day against discrimination in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Workshops and a panel discussion will address racism, cultural appropriation, and social responsibility. A photo exhibition, as well as poetry and spoken word performances, will offer further perspectives on identity and belonging. In the evening, there will be music and opportunities to connect with others.

What is this about?

This theme day focuses on discrimination, racism, and social coexistence. The emphasis is on diverse experiences and the question of how people can counteract exclusion and act in solidarity.

What will be covered?

Two workshops will explore cultural appropriation, a sense of belonging, and how to handle racist situations. A panel discussion will examine the connections between racism, health, and institutional responsibility. The photo exhibition “We Are What We Are” and artistic contributions round out the program.

The “Strengthen Diversity!” initiative is hosting this free theme day at the “Wir im Kiez” neighborhood center in Friedrichshain. The event begins at 3:00 p.m.
