The way to engagiertes.berlin

thought together, done together

engagiertes.berlin is more than just a platform - it is the result of a joint process. The idea was born out of a clear need: Thousands of people and small initiatives in Berlin are committed to the common good. But anyone starting out quickly encounters hurdles:

Where do we find a space? How do we apply for funding? Who can advise us?

These questions were on our minds - so we listened. In workshops, interviews and online surveys, volunteers from all over the city shared their experiences. Together with them, we worked out what was missing, what was frustrating and what was needed. The results were clear: we need a platform that doesn't know everything, but helps people find it. A digital companion - low-threshold, clear and practical .

The result was engagiertes.berlin - developed by renk e.V. with funding from the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion.

What makes engagiertes.berlin special

Here, we don't talk about committed people, but with them. The platform is not made for institutions, but for the people who make a difference in this city every day - often without a large budget, but with a lot of passion. Our aim is to make engagement in Berlin more visible, more accessible and more inclusive. For everyone who wants to make a difference - no matter how small the start.
