Student Assistant Social Media & Editing
Do you love language, like to play with words, but are also familiar with video content and have a keen sense for researching content? Do you know the world of Berlin organisations not just from theory, but from experience? Then come on board: engagiertes.berlin is looking for you for blogs, interviews, newsletters, social media videos and posts and more.
About us
engagiertes.berlin is brand new and the first website for volunteering in Berlin. We provide orientation, know where to find free rooms and further training, funding and other support services. Our small team is working on collecting everything and making it visible so that it reaches volunteers.
In order to further develop our content and reach our target group (small associations, initiatives, volunteers) even better, we are looking for student support in the area of editing & social media (20h/week).
What is it about?
We are looking for a committed, reliable person with strong writing skills to work on a freelance basis. As part of a work contract or on a freelance basis, you will help us to tell stories, communicate knowledge in a low-threshold way and make the diversity of volunteering visible.
Your tasks
You will regularly and conscientiously add new content to our website and process it into social media posts and work with everyone to maintain the newsletter. You develop posts for Instagram and edit reels. You enjoy working independently, carefully, reliably and with plenty of room for your own ideas.
What you do:

Creation of independent content and implementation for our social media channels
(especially Instagram, possibly TikTok) -
Independent creation of texts and videos for social media and articles
for engagiertes.berlin - Experience with Trello

Researching topics related to volunteering, civil society
and Berlin initiatives - CMS TYPO3 (adding content to the website)
- Community management (interaction with followers, replying to messages)
- Support with smaller organisational tasks in the team
What you should bring with you:
- Typo3 (CMS) is a plus, but not a must. Important: You are comfortable learning content management systems (CMS) quickly
- Safe use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to support your work. Important: including careful checking of all content and sources.
- know association work not only from theory
- Experience with Canva, Trello, Slack, Instagram, TikTok
- Creation of texts and passion for research
- enjoy social media (Instagram, possibly also TikTok or newsletter)
- Confident, clear written and spoken German
- Enjoy writing and researching, you like to check sources carefully
- Independent, careful and reliable way of working

Residence in Berlin
General conditions:
- Location: mainly home office / meet together on site by arrangement (maximum 1 time per month)
- Working hours: approx. 20 hours per week (by arrangement)
- Start: 05.01.2026
Remuneration: TV Stud III - We are looking for experience level 2-3 (depending on experience):

Level 2 (15-17 €/h) - first practical experience available (more than just an internship), can already carry out tasks independently, less supervision required

Level 3 (18 €/h) - sound experience; relevant practical experience as a student assistant in social media, editing, content creation, independent work fully possible, routine in tools (CMS, Canva, Trello, AI tools etc.)
