"Together We Are Strong and Smart!" Recognition Award

The “Together We Are Strong and Smart!” Recognition Award honors Berlin-based daycare and school support associations that implement projects in which children and young people can actively participate in decision-making and help shape the projects. Funding is available for a wide range of ideas, from play projects to environmental initiatives. The lsfb is providing a total of €5,000 in prize money. You can apply online with your support association by May 10, 2025.

With this recognition award, your support group would be honored for projects in which children and young people are actively involved. We’re looking for ideas from everyday life at daycare centers or schools that foster co-decision-making, participation, and personal experiences . The award aims to demonstrate what participation can look like in the daily life of daycare centers and schools and to highlight successful practices. It supports you in strengthening good project ideas and encouraging the exchange of ideas.

Nonprofit Berlin-based daycare and school support associations may apply with projects from the current daycare or school year in which children and young people actively participate.

The award is presented annually. A jury selects the winners; the award ceremony takes place in Berlin.
