Volunteer Work

The Volunteer Award honors individuals or teams who have made an exceptional contribution to the common good in the Mitte district through their volunteer work. The Mitte District Office has been presenting the Volunteer Award since 2003 to recognize civic engagement and, above all, the people who volunteer their time and energy to help others. The award recipients are selected by a jury consisting of the District Councilor for Social Affairs and Civic Services, representatives of the political groups in the District Assembly, and staff members of the Volunteer Office. The Volunteer Award is presented annually in the second half of the year at a thank-you event for volunteers organized by the Mitte District Office.
