Volunteer Work

A neighbor who has been volunteering to help older people for years? A coworker who came up with a great idea for the neighborhood? A business owner who quickly set up a free educational project for refugees? Volunteer work is important and enriches community life in the district. To mark this occasion, the district mayor is once again presenting the Lichtenberg Citizens’ Medal this year. The Lichtenberg District Office is calling on the public to nominate particularly dedicated individuals for this honor. The Lichtenberg District Office presents this special award once a year to individuals who have shown outstanding dedication to the common good through volunteer work. In principle, the entire spectrum of volunteer work is eligible for the award. An important criterion is to explain the unique nature of the volunteer work in the nomination.
