German Demography Prize

02/13/2026

[Translate to English:] Grafik: Das Demographie Netzwerk e.V.

The German Demography Prize honors projects that develop and implement solutions to the challenges of demographic change. Organizations and initiatives based in Germany or focusing their activities there are eligible to apply. For 2026, submissions are accepted until February 13, 2026; the award ceremony is scheduled for June 4, 2026, at the Volkshaus Jena.

The award recognizes projects that actively shape demographic change and demonstrate practical solutions for doing so. The award raises awareness of such approaches and presents them as examples for others to discuss.

Eligible applicants include companies, public institutions, educational institutions, NGOs, clubs, associations, networks, and other initiatives in Germany that are implementing a demographic project.

Companies, public institutions, educational institutions, NGOs, clubs, associations, networks, and other initiatives in Germany that are implementing a demographic project are eligible to apply.

The award highlights projects that respond to societal changes —for example, in the workplace, in health care, in diversity, or in skills development. This brings to light solutions that can help adapt structures to new needs.

If nominated, the digital ddp Future Pitch will take place on March 19, 2026. The award ceremony will be held on June 4, 2026, at the Volkshaus Jena.
The German Demography Prize does not include a cash award.
