The Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Youth Engagement Award honors young people who work to help others in the district. The award recognizes teenagers, young adults, and youth groups whose commitment strengthens the community. Anyone can submit nominations. A jury decides on the award.

The award honors young people in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district who go out of their way to help others. It recognizes activities that strengthen community bonds and improve life in the district.

Teenagers, young adults, and youth groups between the ages of 10 and 27 are eligible for nomination. Their involvement must take place in or benefit the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district. Residency in the district is not required.

The award highlights how young people take on responsibility and work to improve their community. It recognizes commitment in various areas—such as social, cultural, or athletic contexts—and showcases the contributions that young volunteers make to community life in the district.

The award has been presented since 2015. Nominations can be submitted online, by email, or by mail. A jury composed of members of the district administration, the district council, and the Children and Youth Participation Office decides on the award.
