BLUM Award

[Translate to English:] Logo BLUM-Preis

The BLUM Prize is an award for community service based in Berlin-Schöneberg. It is presented annually by the student body of the Robert-Blum-Gymnasium. Students announce the award, select the nominees, and vote on the winners. The award honors extracurricular initiatives or individuals who volunteer and contribute to society through social engagement.

The award recognizes initiatives or individuals outside the school who volunteer their time and contribute to society to help build a better community. Members of the school community and their relatives are ineligible.

’s BLUM Prize strengthens civic engagement by raising public awareness of individuals and groups who stand up for others. Through a democratic vote, it promotes participation and encourages others to get involved.

The award is held under the patronage of the Federal Agency for Civic Education. It takes place annually and combines democratic practice with recognition for volunteer work.
