The “Children’s Policy” thematic fund of the German Children’s Fund (Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk) supports projects that educate children and adolescents about their rights and help them assert their right to participate in decision-making. The children and adolescents involved should be included as much as possible in the planning and implementation of the project.
Applications may be submitted by children and young people with the support of an adult, citizens’ initiatives, associations, operating foundations, and nonprofit organizations. Smaller associations without an umbrella organization are given priority for funding. Youth initiatives without legal status, student councils, and children’s and youth parliaments may receive funding through a partnership with a nonprofit organization.
Depending on the project and the funding plan, the grant amounts to up to €8,000.
