Thematic Fund: Children's Culture

The German Children’s Fund’s “Children’s Culture” thematic fund supports cultural projects involving children and young people. Funding is provided for projects across various cultural disciplines, such as dance, circus, animation, rap, or everyday culture. The focus should be on a shared aesthetic and cultural process. Children and young people should be involved as much as possible in the planning and implementation. Applications may be submitted by children and young people with the support of an adult, citizens’ initiatives, associations, operating foundations, and nonprofit organizations. Youth initiatives without legal status, student councils, and children’s and youth parliaments may receive funding through a partnership with a nonprofit organization. Smaller associations without an umbrella organization are given preference. Depending on the project and funding plan, grants of up to €8,000 are available.
