About the Program
You can submit ideas through your initiative, organization, or volunteer project that make queer life in Berlin’s districts more visible and sustainable. A total of €250,000 is available for this purpose, divided between two thematic priorities in 2026.
Funding Priority 1: Magnus Hirschfeld Day – Berlin Protects the Rainbow
Funding Priority 2: Strengthening Queer Life in the Districts
Through this program, the Senate Administration SenASGIVA invites Berlin-based initiatives, organizations, and volunteers to submit projects that strengthen queer realities at the local level. In May, one focus area centers on events and activities for Magnus Hirschfeld Day that highlight history, solidarity, and fundamental rights. The second focus area, spread throughout the year, addresses programs, meeting places, counseling services, and intersectional projects in districts with limited queer infrastructure. Collaboration between districts is encouraged.
