The Lichtenberg District Council uses its special funds to support individual, clearly defined projects and activities related to the district. Applications may be submitted by, among others, associations, initiatives, nonprofit organizations, communities, and private individuals. Funding is available for projects that have not yet begun and that address topics such as solidarity, climate resilience, mobility, civic participation, or the strengthening of neighborhoods. Up to €2,000 may be requested per application. A minimum 10% contribution from the applicant is required. This contribution may not come from third-party funds allocated in the Lichtenberg district budget. The project may not begin until notification of approval has been received. Legal entities must also be registered in the transparency database. There is no legal entitlement to funding.
