About the Program
Through the “selbst.bestimmt!” program, the Foundation for Remembrance, Responsibility, and the Future (EVZ) supports projects by self-organized groups of Sinti and Romani people in Germany. The goal is to strengthen their social and political participation and expand their scope for action.
You can apply for funding if you are part of a nonprofit self-organized group. Individuals are not eligible. Your project must address at least two of the three key areas: empowerment, political participation, or organizational development.
Funding is available for projects that strengthen self-efficacy, enable participation in decision-making processes, or stabilize organizations in the long term. Projects that are not eligible for funding include, among others, construction projects, projects focused solely on publications, or projects that have already begun.
You can apply for up to €80,000 per project for a duration of up to 24 months. A total of €500,000 is available.
