About the Program
Through the Neighborhood Fund, the Reinickendorf District Office supports small projects that strengthen community life in the neighborhood and promote volunteerism. Funding is provided for ideas that highlight local initiative and improve interaction among neighbors.
Examples include neighborhood festivals, planting initiatives, cultural events, sports programs, group cooking or swap events, self-help projects, or small purchases for neighborhood activities. Projects focused on intercultural exchange or the environment and sustainability are also eligible for support.
Applications may be submitted by individuals, initiatives, groups, or organizations that wish to implement a project in the Reinickendorf district. A jury composed of members of the district council and the district mayor decides on funding.
Fees or personnel costs—such as those for conducting workshops—are not eligible for funding.
The application deadline is April 30, 2026.
Period : annual funding
Grant amount : up to €2,000 per project (total of €40,000 in the fund)
Area : Neighborhood projects and volunteer work
