Promotion of German-Italian Relations

The Frankfurt Foundation for German-Italian Studies supports projects that strengthen human, cultural, and academic ties between Germany and Italy. These include research projects on German-Italian relations, art projects such as exhibitions, as well as lectures, colloquia, musical events, and symposia.

Grants for printing costs are also available. To apply, submit an informal written request to the Foundation’s board of directors. The request must be accompanied by a manuscript, a resume, and a cost estimate from the publisher. If available, a review by an expert is also required. For dissertations, the foundation requires a “summa cum laude” grade. Repeated applications are not permitted.

You should contact the Foundation before submitting an application.
