About the Program
Through the Neukölln Partnership for Democracy (PfD), you can carry out 2026 projects that strengthen local democracy. We are seeking proposals that address two goals:
(1) enabling positive experiences with participation, e.g., making a voice in decision-making a tangible reality, imparting knowledge about democracy, and building trust in democratic processes;
(2) reaching out to those who are skeptical of democracy, e.g., opening spaces for democratic exchange and developing constructive ways to address skepticism. Your project must take place in Berlin-Neukölln and be carried out in 2026.
You can apply for up to €10,000 per project; for microprojects, applications are accepted on a rolling basis for up to €1,000 (while funds are available). Important: A preliminary consultation is mandatory. You must submit a project proposal ready for review, including a funding plan, by March 17, 2026.
Timeframe: Implementation in 2026; submission deadline March 17, 2026
Grant amount: up to 10,000 € per project; microprojects up to 1,000 €
Submission Deadline: A project proposal ready for submission, including a funding plan, must be received by March 17, 2026 .
