About the Program
The Marzahn Action Fund and Marzahn YOUNG 2026 support small projects in Marzahn and Biesdorf that promote democracy, tolerance, and diversity. Funding is provided for initiatives that combat exclusion, discrimination, and misanthropy. Applications may be submitted by civic initiatives, nonprofit organizations, and committed individuals. Projects must be implemented within the eligible area. The Marzahn-Hellersdorf Volunteer Agency offers guidance on the application process. A jury composed of representatives from the Marzahn Partnership for Democracy and local residents decides on the allocation of funding. This funding is part of the federal program “Demokratie leben!” and is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth, as well as the Marzahn-Hellersdorf District Office.
Timeframe : The application deadline is June 5, 2026; projects can begin on or after June 19, 2026
