Through its “Zeichen setzen!” initiative, Aktion Mensch supports projects that empower young people up to age 27 to deal with bullying and exclusion. The programs are designed to foster the development of values, social skills, moral courage, and media literacy, and to actively involve young people with and without disabilities. Possible formats include artistic initiatives, media projects, social media campaigns, public awareness campaigns, or public space initiatives. Funding covers honoraria and material costs up to €5,000, as well as up to €2,500 for accessibility measures. A total of up to €7,500 is available for projects lasting up to twelve months. No matching funds are required. Only project partners recognized under Section 75 of SGB VIII or who are members of a welfare organization are eligible to apply.
