About the Program
The Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion supports artistic projects, festivals, series, and special program initiatives carried out in Berlin. Funding is provided for one- or two-year projects that are not covered, or only to a limited extent, by the Department’s existing funding programs. These include, for example, co-productions, series, or individual projects. Eligible applicants are public cultural institutions of the State of Berlin, district-level cultural organizations, and structurally funded private cultural institutions based in Berlin. The projects must be developed in Berlin and made visible exclusively through public events in Berlin. The majority of participants should live and work in Berlin. Film festivals and film series alone are excluded from funding. An independent jury decides on the funding. Applications must be submitted exclusively online.
Duration : Funding is available for one or two years (2027 and/or 2028)
Grant amount : Up to €100,000 per year for applications in the 2028 funding year; higher application amounts are also permitted for 2027.
Area : Cultural funding for festivals, film series, and artistic projects
You can submit your application by July 14, 2026 (2:00 p.m.) .
