The Forum for International Development and Planning (FINEP) supports educational projects carried out by smaller nonprofit civil society organizations in Germany. Funding is provided for projects that target people aged 15 to 30 who have been less engaged to date or have been less reached by Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The projects should convey the benefits of climate protection for the common good, connect with the target group’s everyday realities, and highlight global interconnections. They must be based on scientific findings and aligned with global learning or ESD. In addition, they must take gender equality into account, be accessible free of charge, and include educational, campaign, or awareness-raising activities. Organizations based in Germany whose personnel expenses for permanent staff did not exceed €400,000 in the previous calendar year are eligible to apply.
