This article sheds light on the legal situation for non-profit organisations that wish to participate in demonstrations against right-wing extremism and in favour of democracy. It explains the conditions under which such involvement - whether occasional or permanent - is permissible, what role the purpose of the articles of association plays and what limits exist with regard to political means and neutrality towards political parties. The aim is to provide guidance and certainty for associations. The key issue is the compatibility of political engagement and non-profit status, particularly in the context of demonstrations.
