The prize is awarded to young people, young adults and youth groups who have made a special commitment to their fellow citizens in the district, thereby enriching and improving community life in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Young people, young adults and youth groups who have distinguished themselves through their social commitment or outstanding activities in the district can be nominated. Whether in the social or cultural field, at school, in a sports club or in community work, on topics such as the environment, climate, integration, justice or in other areas - commitment to the people of the district is what counts. The people nominated should be between 10 and 27 years old, and groups should predominantly consist of people of this age. They are involved in or for the district, but do not have to live there.
