Individuals or groups who have rendered outstanding services or have shown exemplary voluntary commitment to the district in the course of their lives are honoured with the Spandau district badge of honour. The person to be honoured should have distinguished themselves through exceptional, long-standing achievements in the areas of social, economic, religious, cultural, sporting or community work. It is the district's highest honour.
