Since 2023, the Reinickendorf district office has been presenting the volunteer awards to recognise the outstanding commitment of volunteers in the district. The awards are intended to honour people who show particular commitment and passion for the common good and have a lasting impact on the community. The prize, which is awarded in three categories, is an expression of deepest appreciation and gratitude for those who make Reinickendorf a place worth living in for everyone. One of the categories is dedicated to an annually changing, current topic.
