Lichtenberg District Office
With this award, the district honours initiatives, individuals, associations or institutions that are committed and courageous in their efforts to promote tolerant, non-violent, open-minded and democratic coexistence, whether in everyday life or through public projects. The prize is awarded at the district office's annual reception in March. A jury headed by the district mayor selects the award winners. The jury consists of representatives from the district office, the "Lichtblicke" network centre, the equal opportunities officer, the police prevention officer, the Alliance for Democracy and the integration officer.
