The Capital City Prize recognises commitment in Berlin that promotes integration and strengthens tolerance . The award recognises commitment that brings people together and breaks down barriers. It supports projects that contribute to the integration of people who have experienced migration or disadvantage .

Projects, associations, individuals and companies from Berlin with ongoing activities to promote integration and tolerance are invited to apply. It promotes concrete activities that enable encounters, mutual understanding and participation in everyday life. In this way, commitment to respectful and diverse coexistence is honoured.

The award was founded in 2007 and is aimed at organisations from Berlin. The application deadline is published each year.
