Every autumn, the district of Lichtenberg awards the Integration Prize to individuals, companies, initiatives and projects that are committed to the integration and equality of all Lichtenberg residents, regardless of their origin, language or culture. Under the direction of the district mayor, a jury selects the award winners. The prize is awarded each year under a specific motto. The jury consists of members of the district council, the integration advisory board, Lichtenberg residents with a migration background and the integration commissioner. The winners receive a cash prize of €500 and a certificate of honour.
