Lichtenberg District Office

Since 2015, the commitment of citizens, clubs, associations, companies and initiatives that contribute to the equal participation of all people has been honoured once a year. The Inclusion Award is presented on 3 December, the International Day of People with Disabilities. The jury is made up of the district mayor, the commissioner for people with disabilities, representatives of the district advisory council of and for people with disabilities, members of the district council and other stakeholders. The Inclusion Award consists of a trophy, a certificate and prize money of 1,000 euros. The prize money is intended to promote, initiate and strengthen inclusion projects and can be used for material resources, fees or activities such as excursions and events.
