District Office Mitte

Every year, the District Office and the Mitte District Assembly of Berlin honour up to eight people with the District Medal of Merit who have made an outstanding contribution to the district of Mitte through their voluntary work and/or personal achievements. Nominations for the District Medal of Merit can be submitted in writing or by e-mail by 31 March of each year, together with a detailed statement of reasons, a curriculum vitae and the name, address and date of birth of the nominee. The persons to be honoured are selected by an internal committee. The award ceremony is organised by the district mayor and the head of the district council on behalf of the district office and the district council.
