The commitment of children and young people in Steglitz-Zehlendorf should be recognised. That is why the children and youth office organises a ceremony every year to honour young volunteers between the ages of 10 and 21. Young people in the district have been honoured for their commitment for over 10 years now. The honour was initiated by young people from the former youth forum who wanted more recognition for young people's commitment. The concept for this ceremonial honour was developed together with the district council.
