The award recognises initiatives and projects that use digital technologies to enable more people to participate and that strengthen digital civic engagement and cohesion in the digital space. The award strengthens programmes that help people to escape digital exclusion, support them in entering the digital world and promote community in the digital space.

Initiatives and projects are honoured. Initiatives can apply for the Audience Award; individuals can support a project that is orientated towards the common good by casting their vote.

Jury prize: A jury from politics, civil society, business and the media selects the winning project. Prize sponsor 2026: TÜV SÜD Foundation. Application phase 2026: from 20.02.2026, 10:00 am.
