FEIN stands for "Voluntary Engagement in Neighbourhoods". The programme is aimed at volunteers, initiatives and non-commercial associations in Lichtenberg that use their ideas to improve public spaces or strengthen community facilities.

Funding is available for material costs (e.g. materials, technology, equipment) up to a maximum of €3,500 that you need for your project. Projects must be voluntary and accessible to all - e.g. improving green spaces, equipment for community centres or measures at social facilities.

Personal contributions are recognised as volunteer time and funding may only be provided once per applicant. Applications are reviewed and funded projects must be documented.
