About the programme
With the "Voluntary Engagement in Neighbourhoods" (FEIN) programme, the Neukölln district office supports voluntary projects by citizens as well as initiatives and associations oriented towards the common good by funding material costs. For example, you can finance material resources for the beautification of tree grates, costs for renovations in club rooms or rental fees for market stalls at neighbourhood festivals.
Important: Only voluntary work is funded, the project must take place outside of neighbourhood management areas and you can apply for a maximum of €3,500 gross. You need the approval of the organisation for the project; an extended certificate of good conduct (max. 6 months old) is required for projects involving children and young people under the age of 18. Certain expenses are excluded (see no-go list in the appendix below).
Submit your signed application by email by 15 March 2026; if funds are still available after this date, there may be a second deadline of 31 May 2026.
